(d) Don't spread the rumour.
Ans:- You are asked / ordered not to spread the rumour.
(e) The baby is being taken care of by the maid.
Ans:- The maid is taking care of the baby.
(f) The tree has been uprooted.
Ans:-The storm has uprooted the tree.
HS - 2023
(a) He was instructed by his coach to play that shot.
Ans:- His coach instructed him to play that shot.
(b) Please give me some more time.
Ans:- You are requested to give me some more time.
(c) Is the gardener watering the plants?
Ans:- Are the plants being watered by the gardener?
(d) Rome was not built in a day.
Ans:- (i) No one built Rome in a day.
(e) The girl is reading a novel.
Ans:- A novel is being read by the girl.
(f) I saw a road accident yesterday.
Ans:- A road accident was seen by me the previous day.

Ans:- (i) A watch was bought his son by him.
(ii) His son was bought a watch by him.
(b) The girl was punished for misconduct.
Ans:- The teacher punished the girl for misconduct.

Ans:- Why was I not informed of the change of plan by anyone?
(d) The blind man was being led by a little boy.
Ans:- A little boy was leading the blind man.
(e) The coach is training the players.
Ans:- The players is being trained by the coach.

Ans:- Let the car be driven slowly.
(g) He will be forgotten in a few days.
Ans:- People will forget him in a few days.

Ans:- The wounded man was being helped by some boys.

Ans:- Let the boys be brought home.

Ans:-It is hoped that the test will be passed by you.

Ans:- Why did your sister write such a letter?
(e) My pocket has been picked.
Ans:- Someone has picked my pocket.
(f) Salil has caught a fish.
Ans:- A fish has been caught by Salil.
(g) He dispensed with my services.
Ans:- My services were dispensed with by him.
(h) The Greeks made Ulysses their leader.
Ans:- Ulysses was made their leader (by the Greeks).
