    I shall be highly obliged if you kindly allow me a space to highlight the poor condition of roads in our locality.There are ditches everywhere on the roads which hold water during rainfall. Roads become muddy during monsoon and dusty in winter. Many accidents have taken place resulting in deaths and injuries. No step has been taken so far to repair/renovate the roads. The problem takes alarming proportions when patients need to be carried to hospitals through the traffic jam.
    Under the circumstance cited above and keeping in mind the difficulty faced by the people of our locality, I call upon the authorities concerned to take measures for a permanent solution of the problem.

Sir,
    Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper I would like to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to the problem of erratic power supply in our locality. The voltage in our area is so low that it makes no difference between its absence or presence. When the voltage is balanced, the power supply does not last for more than an hour. Due to this, the inverters too remain non-functional. The students preparing for board and other examinations are the worst-affected category. Students who have a poor eyesight, cannot read in candlelight or kerosene lamps. Internet is an immediate source of knowledge  for many other examinations, but the device is useless without electric current.
    In the broader intersect of the students,I cordially request the higher authority to install a new transformer in our locality for a permanent solution of the problem.

Sir,
    I shall be highly obliged if you kindly allow me a space to voice my concerns on the problem of noise pollution in our locality. Now-a-days, a tendency to surpass each other in sound, speed and light is seen among a particular class of people in our area. There are some people who have a special addiction to noise. They need only a petty occasion to use sound systems in high decibel. Songs in high volume keep ringing all day long. The use of firecrackers in some marriage ceremony at midnight, badly affect our sleep and health. The loudspeakers used in religious functions deprive us of our sleep and rest. Nobody can say anything against the noise-making activity because positive reaction may bring negative response. This is really a menace to mental and physical well-being.
    Therefore, on behalf of the conscious citizens of our locality, I cordially request the Government to ban all types of noise-making activity especially at night. Only then people will heave a sigh of relief.

    Kindly allow me a space in your reputed newspaper so that I can  draw the urgent attention of the concerned authority to the insanitary condition of water supply in our locality. The duration of water supply is very short and uncertain. The colour of the water is muddy at regular intervals and there is always a bad smell in the water. It appears that the employees in charge of cleaning the water-tanks and purifying the water are not responsible persons. The number of people suffering from upset stomach and jaundice in our locality, is on the rise. The local authorities have not shown any interest in redressing our grievance, in spite of repeated requests.
    Under this circumstance I cordially request the higher authority to do whatever is necessary to solve our problem.
